Florida Memorial University is a private university located in Miami Gardens, Florida.  It is the only  historically black college/university (HBCU) in South Florida, with a strong history since 1879.  It is a small institution with an enrollment of 1,200 students. Popular majors include Aviation, Psychology, Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration, and Biology.
